After a successful first quarter 121 are in a strong position to negotiate and drive down the cost of car rental. On speaking with one of the directors his positive attitude and commitment to deliver are easily understood. Car hire shortage 2009

Car hire experts are predicting large amounts of car hire shortage in the UK over the coming months. July, August and September are predicted to be effected. With the Christmas & new year period set to be the hardest hit. Due to the current economical climate many car hire providers have been forced to reduce fleet numbers to maintain high utilisation. This leading to increased hire costs at peak times of the year and meaning a lot of car rental companies are enforcing minimum durations for hire and a minimum advanced booking notice.

However in the current climate many companies have had to tighten their belts thus meaning reducing the number of cars they have on fleet and ensuring fleet utilization is at the highest possible level.
