Q: Are your rates all inclusive?
A: Yes, all our rates are fully inclusive. Extras can be purchased at the time of pick up. But upon booking, you have everything included that you need.
Q: Are there any age restrictions?
A: Minimum of 23 or 25 years, maximum 74 years, depending on the car group.
Q: Can we name an additional driver?
A: With the consent of the renter, other drivers may drive the vehicle. Conditions and charges apply.
Your 121 Car Rental quote takes into account all mandatory charges corresponding to your reservation criteria. This quote generally includes the following items:
- Value Added Tax or any other local tax
- Unlimited Mileage, or if this is not the case, the clear number of kilometres/miles included, with the cost of each extra kilometre/mile
- Premium station surcharge (if applicable)
- Road tax and Licence fee surcharge
- Third party liability insurance
- Collision Damage Waiver (“CDW”)
- Theft Waiver (“TW”)
CDW and THW may be merged together in Loss Damage Waiver (“LDW”) in some countries. An excess amount displayed at time of reservation indicates the maximum amount of money you are liable for, in the event of damage.
At the end of the reservation process you will receive a "Reservation Confirmation" page with the reservation number highlighted. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail containing the details of your reservation. You should print these and keep them for your records.
Yes, it is possible to amend or cancel. Fees may apply in certain cases. To amend or cancel please contact us either by email or telephone. Details can be found on the contact us page. You will receive a confirmation of amendment or cancellation by e-mail. You should print these and keep them for your records

2nd form of ID, UK residents must produce a utility bill or bank statement from a recognised authority dated within the last 3 months.
A valid credit card in the main drivers name (see acceptable payments)
Driving licence: Held for at least one or three years, according to the car group. If you hold a two-part UK driving licence, both parts need to be presented at rental. If you need any further guidance please feel free to contact us.
With the consent of the renter others may drive the vehicle. Conditions and charges apply.

121 Car Rental can offer a one-way rental service from most locations. Please visit our reservations page or contact us.
You may cancel your reservation. The charges incurred vary depending on the type of booking you have taken. The two options are; prepaid or pay on arrival.
Prepaid Cancellations
You may cancel the reservation without charge provided it is done within 14 working days after reservation (reservation day not included) and in any case 48 hours before the due rental start date and time. After this period has elapsed, the prepaid rental amount will be refunded less a cancellation fee calculated as follows
If the reservation is cancelled 2 days or more prior to rental start date a cancellation fee of 5% of the prepaid rental amount will apply.
- If the reservation is cancelled less than 2 day(s) prior to rental start date a cancellation fee of 10% of the prepaid rental amount will apply.
No refunds will be given if you fail to collect the vehicle on the rental start date and fail to notify the supplier in writing in advance of this date.
Prepaid Amendments
Amendment to the reservation may affect the rental rates and may require a new Prepayment Confirmation to be issued. Changes requiring a new prepayment confirmation to be reissued must be made at least 14 days prior to rental start date, unless the new prepayment confirmation can be sent to a fax number or an email address, in which case changes may be made up to 72 hours prior to rental start date

Pay on arrival Cancellation & Amendments
You will be allowed to modify or cancel your reservation after it is confirmed, provided it is done at least 2 hours prior to rental time. You simply need to make contact with 121 Car Rental prior to this time. After this period charges may apply and can vary. Please contact us for further details
Customers are required to purchase Collision Damage Waiver, which is included in the Rental Cost, to limit your liability in respect of:
Any loss or damage recorded in the inspection report which will be issued at the end of your rental period up to the level of the Insurance Excess; or
Any loss or damage recorded in the report which will be issued in the event of the theft of the vehicle or in the event of total loss of the vehicle to the level of the Insurance Excess.
If any traffic offence has been committed, your insurance is invalidated.
The cover will be indicated on your Rental Agreement. You can reduce both Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection excess by buying Super CDW locally. You pay this locally.
Furthermore, the company supplying the vehicle for rental and not 121 Car Rental provides all insurance cover. Liability for claims in excess of the insurance cover purchased rests with the hirer of the vehicle. 121 Car Rental do not provide insurance cover of any kind in relation to the hire of the vehicle and are not liable for damages incurred in the event of an accident. However as your agent we will endeavour to assist you where possible.
If you will be hiring a vehicle within the United Kingdom, recent changes to the law require that children up to the age of 12 or up to 135cms (4’5”) MUST use a child restraint. These include baby seats, child seats and booster cushions.
You will need to request this at the time that you make the booking, in order to ensure that one is available for you. If you do not order one in advance, it may not be possible to provide one to you and you will have to make your own arrangements, in order to comply with the law.
Any other extras maybe requested at the time of reservation where 121 Car Rental will perform an availability check. With some suppliers guaranteed optional extras may not be possible and the equipment required will be subject availability on arrival. Please check this before proceeding with your reservation
This option may be available depending on where you are collecting your car.
Please refer to the specific Terms and Conditions for your actual hire. This option will be chargeable.
Your supplier will ask you to pay a deposit to cover any supplementary charges you may incur as part of your rental, e.g. damage, penalties, fuel etc.
We ask that any comments / queries regarding your rental are submitted no longer than 6 months from the date of collection of your rental.

If your concern relates to additional charges, in order for us to investigate further then we may need the bank statement and/or the invoice related to the charges. Please also note, your 121 Car Rental voucher does not include supplementary charges such as refuelling, added drivers, insurance etc. These are agreed and paid locally by you.
Furthermore, all insurance cover is provided by the company supplying the vehicle for rental and not by 121 Car Rental. Liability for claims in excess of the insurance cover purchased rests with the hirer of the vehicle. 121 Car Rental do not provide insurance cover of any kind in relation to the hire of the vehicle and are not liable for damages incurred in the event of an accident.
Unfortunately the insurance included in your reservation does not cover loss or damage to possessions.
121 Car Rental strongly recommend that you take out separate insurance cover to cater for this eventuality. Remember never leave valuables on show when leaving the car hire unattended.

This is different depending on which location you will be collecting the vehicle. Sometimes vehicles will be provided with a full tank of fuel on collection and will be expected to be returned empty. The full tank must be purchased upfront and any unused fuel will not be refunded. Policies regarding fuel can be check by checking the specific terms of conditions for your hire.
In most cases, your 121 Car Rental cost includes any local taxes. However, in some locations Government environmental charges or other taxes may apply and will need to be paid locally. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for your specific booking to see if any supplementary charges apply.
A 3rd party may pay for the rental itself providing this is prepaid at the time of reservation. The actual driver will be the person listed on the rental agreement, and have all the documentation as required.
The principal driver must have a valid credit, not debit card in his or her name to collect the vehicle. This credit card must have sufficient funds for the deposit and any supplementary payments. Unless a valid credit card in the name of the principle driver is presented at the time of collection, the vehicle will not be allocated and no refund will be issued.
Credit Cards Accepted:
American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard, Mastercard and Visa.
If the hire period exceed 28 days payment will be deducted automatically from the card.
Otherwise payment will be deducted at check in.

Debit Cards Accepted:
Acceptable cards are Visa Delta Switch, Solo and Maestro (issued in UK). The rental charges plus the standard deposit will be taken at the time of check out.
Refunds will be made to the card when the vehicle is returned subject to the vehicle condition.
Note Refunds may take up to 28 working days to show in bank accounts.

Cash / Cheques Payments:
Are only possible for certain vehicle categories at certain locations.
Note: Refunds will be made depending on the condition of the vehicle at check in, and so long as there are sufficient funds on site. If not a cheque will be sent to the renter.
If your reservation is prepaid payment will be taken at the time the booking is made. If payment is on arrival, dependant on the type of card produced the payment will either be taken at the start of the hire along with the deposit or just the deposit taken at the start of the rental and payment debited on return. Please check at time of reservation for payment policies
You will also need to present a valid credit card, in the name of the principle driver, with sufficient funds for the deposit and any supplementary payments. Unless a valid credit card in the name of the principle driver is presented at the time of collection, the vehicle will not be allocated and no refund will be issued.
